Barnes & Noble (2007)

Barnes & Noble is one of the world's largest retailers, specializing in books, music, and movies. This project involved the re-design and consolidation of a few of their intranet applications used by their buyers for managing the procurement process. The project began with us sitting down with a few different types of buyers to examine exactly how they use the various applications and how to make their time more efficient. After an in-depth user-analysis, we carefully examined the extensive product requirements to determine a strategy for design. This project involved many decision-makers and stakeholders, and thus was very iterative in nature. Within a couple months the design phase was finished and we quickly moved into the implementation phase, whereby we developed Infragistics NetAdvantage® for Windows® Forms style files, in order to provide their developers with a seamless transition to the finished product.
